The Center for BrainHealth invites scientists to share their scientific study with students and other researchers at the Frontiers of BrainHealth Lunch Lectures. The lectures are heavily science focused and are not intended for a lay audience.

Dr. Sengupta is the Scientific Research Writer in the newly created Neuroscience Research Development (NeRD) Office in the Department of Neurology and Neurotherpeutics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
She assists PIs, fellows, clinical and basic science researchers and nurses with maneuvering the grant application process. She helps with funding identification, idea generation, proposal development, document generation as well as grant submission to funding agencies. In addition, she contributes to the process of creation of manuscripts and their submission to peer reviewed journals. She works with PIs in the department as well as its affiliated centers such as such as the Alzheimer's Disease Center and the Neuroscience Nursing Research Center. Her team submits over a 100 grants a year with an average funding rate of 27% and has helped bring in close to $6 million in research funding since September 2015. In addition, she has developed a grant writing course and a training program in collaboration with her team.
